Pre-mixed blends

Here several peptides are already filled into the same vial. That saves reconstituting and combining separate solutions – one working step fewer, and one fewer place where something can go wrong.

What this means for the analysis

For a blend it is not one purity figure that is stated but one per component. The batch certificate lists which substances are present in which ratio and the purity each one reaches. The minimum of 99 percent applies to each component, not to the mixture as a whole.

Testing works as it does for single peptides, by RP-HPLC and mass spectrometry, with the difference that several signals have to be assigned.

When a blend makes sense – and when it does not

It makes sense when the ratio is settled and is not meant to vary. If you want to determine the proportions yourself, single peptides serve you better: from separate vials any ratio can be made, from a mixture none can.

As with every item: lyophilised in a clear glass vial, protected from light at −20 °C, temperature-controlled shipping. Certificate of analysis, chromatogram and safety data sheet are enclosed and freely available on the product page.
